Chichicastenango

Chichi has murals painted along one section of wall by the market area. It outlines the history of the area, and provides a great back drop for photos!
Now, that is a car-ful!
The market is incredibly busy, at certain spots you just get moved along with the crowd, and try to keep standing!
Cemeteries in Guatemala are something to see. Colourful, interesting places to walk.
The pig market at Chichi is really quite a sight!! Pigs EVERYWHERE and a busy place with a lot of wheeling and dealing going on!

Amazing Lake Atitlan!

Surrounded by volcanoes, Lake Atitlan is a great place to relax, and take a load off.
We swam, suntanned, read - holiday time!
Accessible by boat only (other than Panajachel), the 12 villages that surround the lake are each named for one of the apostles.
No matter what time of day, the view can be really spectacular!

More amazing flowers from Guatemala!

Tikal - beautiful by sunset or sunrise!

TIKAL - Isn't it GREAT?!

Bruce and I standing at the top of the temple across from the famous "Jaguar Temple" named for the inscriptions found within, also a burial site.
These temples can be huge (Yes, even Liana managed to climb up each of them! The view was well worth it)

Spot the Toucan - now that is COOL!

Welcome to Tikal! Land of Mayan ruins...a truly amazing place to see! You can climb up pyramid after pyramid, and temple after temple for amazing views of the jungle area that has now taken over.
